As a member of the 2005 Presidents Cup side, Peter gets the chance to play this event for the 6th consecutive year, his best finish being when 19th in 2002. "The course appears to be playing much longer this year," said Peter from Akron. "They have added length but the course is a bit softer so far as well." Peter is back playing after a two week break during which he celebrated his 40th birthday on July 17th. "I spent a week away from the game after the John Deere and then started to get back into it last week. I spent a lot of time on the practice fairway last week and played a couple of times." "I actually played quite well at the John Deere Classic even though I missed the cut and will again this week use the short putter - the Rife. I felt like I putted quite well with it at the John Deere but didn't make many." Peter will play this week then at this stage does not have a start at the PGA Championship but will then play the Wyndham Championship, then at The Barclays at Westchester before hopefully a start at the Deutsche Bank Championship although that wil be based on his Fed Ex Cup points at the time. photo Marc Feldman WireImage
