After giving every indication that his game was leading towards a very good finish, Peter has produced a horror final nine holes in the second round of the John Deere Classic and has missed the cut.

"I lost the plot today," said a very candid Peter after his second round. "I hit it to 20 feet at the first 6 holes but missed everything. Then I missed a green and made bogey. I followed it up on the first (my 10th) with the worst shot ever hit on the PGA Tour and made double bogey. It was a struggle from there on." 

"I picked a lot of poor clubs and putted poorly which it has to be said is a bad combination!"

"I'm going to stay here and then head to Milwaukee which is not too far away for next week's US Bank Championship. The back is fine and today was just one of those days really."
