Peter has recorded his best finish of the season when 15th at the John Deere Classic in Silvis in Illinois. A final round of 67 on a day where he and the rest of the field were forced to play 36 holes improved Peter's third round position by seven places and he now heads to next week's US Bank Championship in Milwaukee satisfied with the progress he has made in recent weeks. It was Peter's fourth cut made in succession and importantly there was improvement in many of his stats this week. With the third and fourth rounds being played on Sunday, Peter was quickly out of the blocks on Sunday morning when he birdied the first five holes and when he added another at the eighth he had moved to 12 under for the tournament and was very much in contention. Peter stumbled when he missed the green left at the par four 11th and took four to get down, his back nine of 38 spoiling what had been such a promising start. Out again quickly for the final round, Peter again made a fast start with two quick birdies before a bogey at the 6th cost him momentum. He would add three further birdies however and although he could not convert a couple of late chances it was nevertheless a particularly encouraging week. Peter earned US$64,500.
