A much improved performance by Peter in round two of the Shell Houtson Open has seen him safely make the cut at the event being played at the Redstone Golf Club's Tournament Course.

After an opening round of 73 Peter was forced to wait until Saturday morning to start his second round following the disruption caused by the winds of Thursday. He opened with a bogey in round two after finding the greenside bunker with his approach but then quickly added birdies at the 2nd and 4th.

Disaster struck at the par four 7th when he missed the fairway right, was forced to take a penalty drop, missed the green with his third and then took four to get down from the edge of the green and finished with a triple bogey.  He responded with a bomb from 50 feet or so at the 6th and then after making the turn in 37, was home in 32 for a round of 69. With the cut falling at 1 under Peter's total of two under had him inside the cutline.

Seven birdies in round two has provided a bost for Peter as he heads into the final two rounds.
