There was both disappointment and satisfaction in Peter's voice as he recounted today's final round of the Viking Classic. Peter finished with a round of 71 after sharing the lead with two holes to go at the PGA Tour event at the TPC River's Bend in Madison in Mississippi. After a late call up to play the event Peter took full advantage and so nearly pulled it off but for a flyer out of the rough on the 17th hole which cost him a double bogey and the possible chance of a win. Peter had started the final day one behind Chris Kirk and although he made a slow start to his round he was chellneging for the lead early in the back nine. When he birdied the 13th he actually had a share of the lead and again at the 16th before the double bogey struck. "It was close today, said Peter a few hours after he had finished. "I made a couple of mistakes but over all it was ok. The flyer on 17 killed me but I should have hit it on the fairway to start with. My fault. "I felt really good out there even though I wasn't hitting it great and the finish gets me into Canada next week so I am on my way up there tomorrow. Another top ten is needed to keep the dream alive! I'll be trying my damndest!"
