Encouraging return for Peter

2007_att_classic_-_photo_-_marc_ehrmann_wireimageAn 11 foot birdie putt at his final hole will ensure Peter plays the weekend at the Travelers Championship but it was quite a roller coaster in round two.

After an opening round of 66, during which saw the use of a new driver and putter, Peter began well on day two, beginning with a birdie at his opening hole (the 10th) and when he added an eagle at the driveable par four 15th he had moved to 7 under and was very much in contention.

Unfortunately, the putter, which had been working well until that point, began to misbehave and Peter dropped four shots in his next seven holes before his final hole birdie guaranteed the all important weekend work.

For Peter it has been an encouraging return to tournament golf after such a long break to allow a back injury to heal. He now has the opportunity over the weekend to get more competitve golf and with a couple of good rounds on such a congested leaderboard, the chance to make progress in the tournament.
