Peter has finished in a share of 9th position at the J.B. Were Masters at the Victoria Golf Club in Melbourne.

A final round of 2 over 73 saw Peter slip from his share of 6th overnight to his final position. A bogey at this very first hole of round four at the reachable par four 1st got things off to a bad start although in the blustery conditions Peter fought back well with a birdie at the 7th.

A poor tee shot at the 9th cost him a bogey but  when he holed a lengthy birdie putt at the 10th he was back at 7 under and inside the top five.

The reachable par four 15th proved costly when he took bogey and he then missed from 15 feet at the 16th and dropped a shot at the 17th after what had been a great tee shot.

While there was disappointment on not capitalising on his good start to the week there was a lot to be encouraged by in Peter's effort and he heads to a Xmas New Year break feeling a little better about his game than has been the case for a while.

Peter and I will share a few moments in an audio dicussion about the year later this week but his next tournament outing is yet to be confirmed although in terms of his Nationwide Tour schedule next year it is likely to be the in Colombia in early February subject to him gaining a start.
