Peter tees it up in the first of the FedEx Cup playoffs this week, the Barclays at the Ridegwood Country Club in Paramus in New Jersey.

Peter is currently 59th on the FedEx Cup points table and therefore has at least the first two events to accumulate further points that might eventually lead him to the Tour Championship on September 25th. The bonuses are huge over the next few weeks with a bonus of US$32,000 for just making into the top 144 who are eligible for this week.

This week's venue is a new one for this event which has been played at the Westchester Country Club north of New York City over the past forty or so years.

"I wasn't happy with the way I played last week so hopefully I can make some improvement this week,"  said Peter on Wednesday. "This is obviously an important stretch of events and I am keen to get as far as I can in this series."

"The course is a toughy this week. Long rough and a lot of seriously long par 4s and 5s. Yesterday the course was quite soft which made it very tough. Things are going pretty well this week but to play well here I will have to hit a lot of fairways!

It will be intresting to see what the scores are like."
