Following his encouraging start to the Melwood St George's County Open in Maryland this week, Peter's horror second round of 77 has seen him miss the cut by four shots anbd he will now play the US Open Sectional Qualifying on Monday hoping that his game will turn around in time.

After a solid opening round of 68, Peter made a the worst start possible in round two when he double bogeyed his first hole then dropped another at the second. He staged a minor recovery before the turn and was still in with a good chance of making the weekend at that point but a double at his 10th hole was followed further bogeys and all chance was gone. 

Peter is expected to play his US Open Qualifying in Rockville in Maryland on Monday then play the Rex Hospital Open in Raleigh in North Carolina next week.
