Peter has bounced back from his opening round of 78 at the Viking Classic, his second round of 67 ensuring he will finish well inside the cutline.

An early bogey had Peter figuring what he might do over the weekend, but he picked up six birdies in his last 13 holes to move from his overnight position of 116th to 38th when play was called for darkness on day two. Some 5 or so players are yet to finish their second rounds but it is hardly likely to affect Peter's status dramatically.

If Peter was able to continue his remarkable run over the later stages of today's round then moving into contention in the event is not out of the question. Importantly however, in just his first tournament back after more than a month away from the game, he has quickly  gotten rid of the rust in his game.
