Peter is in Vernon New York for this week's Turning Stone Resort Championship, his first event since the Wyndham Championship in late August. Peter has spent time at his home in Orlando and, although bothered by a flu bug at present ,he is happy with the way his game has been going as he prepares for five important events.

Peter is currently scheduled to play all five events as he attempts to regain his status for the PGA Tour. With just US$188,000 in earning this season he needs a big finish to the year if he is regain his full status although he would still be eligible for some starts in 2010 via other criteria. Ideally however the retention of full status is the most important position he can achieve and if at worst that involved a return to Tour School then so be it. 

"The weather is cold and windy here at Turning Stone," said Peter on Tuesday evening US time. "I spent last week in bed with the flu but prior to that was pleased with the progress I was making. I still feel a bit wonky but will hopefully get through it ok."

Peter has a late tee time on day one when he will play with Bill Haas and Webb Simpson.
