Peter joins Tom Pernice as the current course record holder at Congressional, Pernice having recorded a similar round earlier in the week. With weather concerns on day four, tee times were brought forward and a two tee start implemented. Peter started at the 10th therefore and a bogey at his second hole gave little evidence of what was to come. "It all came together today," he said after his round. "It was a soft bogey at the 11th but after that I really played some good golf." "I hit a 9 iron to a couple of feet at the 12th, holed a 9 iron for eagle at the 15th, hit a sandwedge to 6 inches at the par five 16th and then holed a 20 footer at the 17th. On the front nine which was my back nine of the day I didn't drive it so well but still managed birdies on the 3rd, 4th and 5th. It would have been great to birdie my last hole which was the par five 9th but obviously I am very happy." "The longest putt I holed was at the 17th but after that only when I made a 10 footer at the 8th. I was really pleased with my depth control." "I am looking forward to next week at the John Deere and may also play the Milwaukee event but not sure yet." Peter earned US$114,000 for his six way share of 12th and takes his 2008 PGA Tour earnings to US$1,046,000

Peter has been getting increasingly excited about his game since his return from injury two weeks ago and today it all fell into place when he recorded a brilliant final round of 63 at the AT&T National event at the Congressional Country Club.
