Last round 67 at Travelers Championship

peter_lonard_-_sony_open_hi_2007A final round of 67 at the Travelers Championship has seen Peter complete a solid return to tournament golf at the event just outside of  Hartford in Connecticut. Peter finished in 37th position which, when taking his six week break from tournament golf into account, was a satisfactory and satisfying week.

It was a certainly a round that could have been even better as Peter had actually moved to five under for the day before dropping two shots in his last three holes. For the second time this week Peter eagled the short par four 15th although on this occasion it was his 6th hole as he and several others had started at the 10th hole today in order for the field to avoid weather issues later in the day..

Peter dropped a shot at his final hole after pulling his approach from relatively short range but overall there was a lot to like about the way he played in his first competitve outing since the Players Championship in early May.

Peter had an encouraging week on the greens over the weekend using his new putter, the Spider Monza.

Peter will now play this week's Buick Open in Grand Blanc in Michigan
