After his opening round of 1 over 72 had him requiring something better from his afternoon tee time in round two, Peter dropped a shot at the very first hole when he found trouble from the tee and was forced to lay up with his second. He bounced back with birdies at the two par fives on the front nine, the 2nd and the 5th but bogies at the 8th and 9th had him making the turn at 2 over for the tournament. He reeled off a series of pars over the next few holes but with the potentially dangerous finishing holes to come then he needed a cushion to secure weekend work. That cushion would come at the par three 17th when he holed from 30 feet behind the flag and he walked ot the 18th one shot inside the looming cutline of 2 over. Despite missing the green at the last Peter was still able to save par with a seven footer. At 1 over Peter is in a share of 48th position.

A second round of 71 has Peter well inside the cut line at the Verizon Heriatge Classic at Harbour Town Links, a late birdie ensuring he would make the weekend and create the opportunity to continue the momentum his game has been building in recent weeks.
