Three birdies in his last four holes have seen Peter move from obscurity to contention at the end of the morning's play in round one of the MasterCard Masters.

It was a sluggish start to the round for Peter in the very good morning conditions but he seemed unable to make the progress that many others were.  Then things turned hot. He made a good par from the trees at the 6th hole (his 15th) but at the reeled off a birdie at the par five 7th, then at the two par fours to finish.

Peter finds himself in 5th place at the end of the day.
