Lucky break leads no-where at Bay Hill

Peter has been unable to convert the lucky break he received earlier in the week, when gaining a last minute start in the event, missing the cut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando.

After an opening round of two over par 72 and the cut looking to be around that two over mark, Peter knew what he needed to do as he set out on his second round with an early tee time. A bogey at the first was not the start he was looking for and although he battled to stay in touch with the possible cutline, a birdie at the 13th gave him some hope. By then he was at three over for  the tournament and although he faced a strong finishing stretch of holes, one birdie would have seen him playing the weekend.

It was not to be however as Peter bogeyed two of the last five holes and at five over had missed by three. There was an improvement in his putting today but his tee to green game was not as good as it had been on day one.

Peter will now have next week off as he will not play in either the World Golf Championship CA event or in the support event in Puerto Rico. Peter's next event therefore is likely to be at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans in two weeks time.
