Peter has bowed out of the Players Championship at the TPC at Sawgrass despite an improved second round. His round of 74 today was an improvement of three shots on yesterday's battle but at 7 over he has missed the three over par cut by four.

Peter has been plagued by a back injury for the past ten days and on a golf course such as this any such weaknesses are exposed. Peter has decided not to play next week's AT&T Championship at Sugarloaf with a view to resting up, having some work done on the back and hopefully returning to competitve golf at the Colonial in Fort Worth.
