Peter has narrowly missed out on winning the Australian PGA Championship for the third time but he fought right to the end before Nick O'Hern, with whom he had battled all day long, holed a bunker shot at the last hole of a four hole playoff.

After his round he talked with Bruce Young on the day and the outcome of the event.

As a result of the runner up placing and the cheque for A$122,400 Peter has returned to the top of the Career Money list on the Australasian Tour, passing Peter Senior who had led that particular category into this event. 

Peter has career earnings of A$3,766,894 on the Australasian Tour alone 

Peter will return to Sydney for this Thursday's Peter Lonard and Paul Gow Charity Day  at the Lakes Golf Club
