Peter tees it up in Panama tomorrow playing only his third ever Nationwide Tour event and his first in twelve months.

The Panama Claro Open gets the 2011 Nationwide Tour underway and with Peter planning on playing a full schedule on that Tour in 2011 he is keen to get the season underway. "All is going well for this week, said Peter on the eve of the event at the Panama Golf Club in Panama City I'm really looking forward to finally try playing again."

"The course is in great condition and the greens are as quick as I've seen on this style of grass.Lots of fluffy grass around the greens which makes getting up and down very difficult. It will be a good test."

Peter has an afternoon time on day one.

Peter will follow up this week's tournament with the Bogota Open in Colombia next week.

Peter has stayed in Orlando this week rather than make the trip to Phoenix to attempt Monday qualifying for the Phoenix Open. "I am just going to stay here and practice. The fact that I cut my finger in the kitchen the other day has not exactly helped either but I should be ok.

"I still have hopes of a start in the Mayakoba Classic in Mexico but if not there then I will be teeing it up at the first event of the Nationwide Tour in Panama in three weeks time. Not yet sure what I will do between now and then.

"I am still contemplating heading to Riviera for Monday qualifying next week (on Monday 14th). I am still way out of Mexico so I am just waiting. If I don't get into Mexico I will play Panama then Colombia. If I get in Mexico I will go on to play  Colombia and then Puerto Rico.

"My game feels like it is getting close and I am really looking forward to getting back on the road."

Peter has again missed out on Monday qualifying for a PGA Tour event, this time the Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego.

"I just did not play well enough but  I did manage to go to the TaylorMade factory and get some work done on my 3 wood and my Rescue but other than that am really happy with my new clubs.

I will consider heading to Phoenix for Monday qualifying there but will see how this week goes."

Despite being reasonably satsified with the way he played during Monday Qualifyng for this week's Sony Open, Peter has missed a start in the event and it is now a case of back to the drawing board prior to Monday Qualifying for the Farmers Insurance Open in ten days time.

It was originally though Peter might try and Monday qualify for the Bob Hope event but there is no such qualifying and so Peter will head to his home in Orlando before returning to California.

"It looks like it's going to be a hard road back," said Peter after his round of even par was well short (4 shots) of the required mark to gain a start. "I actually played reasonably well but definitely need more match practice. I was just unable to put together a score."

"I shot even par but it was the worst I could have shot. I am looking forward looking forward to getting into it this year however."

Peter has a new set of TaylorMade irons that he will get used to this week before playing in California. "Yes I have gone full circle," said Peter referring to the fact that he is now back playing the same clubs he was playing two years ago.

Peter leaves this Thursday 6th January for Hawaii where he will tackle Monday qualifying for the Sony Open in Honolulu next week.

Peter will atttempt to earn one of the four places available each week in PGA Tour events over the next five or six weeks in the hope that he might secure one or two starts in PGA Tour events before he plays the first event of the Nationwide Tour season which begins on February 24th in Panama.

Peter has full access to the Nationwide Tour this season but figures if he can luck out on a start or two on the PGA Tour then, in the category he has as a former winner, he could potentially gain access to several PGA Tour events in 2011.
