Peter will play this week's Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines before taking a break at his home in Orlando. This is fourth event of the year and while there has been the occasional good sign, Peter will be keen to finish of this stretch well in order to head to the break with his game in good shape.

Peter has played the Buick Invitational on four previous occasions, his best finish coming in 2005 when he finished 14th after sharing the lead heading into day four.

"Both courses are playing hard and fast," said Peter on Wednesday. "Unfortunately there is bad weather anticipated for this week, arriving sometime Thursday.

"I have spent most the week practicing and working on my drivers. I have come up with the new diablo (Callaway) driver which I am very happy with and also I have added .8 degrees onto an old FT3 that I have had for a while. Hopefully that will add a little spin to it which will keep it in the air a bit longer and make it a bit easier to control. I haven't decided yet which driver I will use tomorrow."

"All else is going well.My set is pretty much done and dusted and my chipping and putting is as good as it's ever been which is a perhaps little hard to believe with my latest results.  I am sure if I can get a bit of a run things will start being really good."
