mayakoba_golf_classic_-_mike_ehrmann_wireimage Peter's preparation for this week's Mayakoba Classic near Cancun on Mexico's Gulf Coast has been somewhat disrupted by his clubs and luggage being lost by the airlines. "I have been told they will deliver them to me when they arrive but with a pro am tee time early tomorrow and no sign of them at 6.10 this evening - as it is now - then I am thinking I might be playing with a hired set and in flip flops," set Peter on Tuesday evening.

Peter finished third in the event last year on the Greg Norman designed layout at the Mayakoba Resort. "I really like the golf course, it is right on the edge of the ocean, has some great holes and can get windy around here."

Peter arrives in Mexico off the back of a much improved week last week at Riviera. "That's the first cut I have made over here for a while and in actual fact I played like I used to really. It was pleasing. I chipped well and made a lot of nice saves with some good up and downs. I made a silly double from the middle of the fairway on Sunday at the 12th hole with a 9 iron in hand but overall it was good and encouraging."

Peter has an early tee time on day one when he plays with Joe Ogilvie and Shaun Micheel.
