"I feel very refreshed," said Peter on the eve of the tournament. "By the time I got to the US Open qualifying the Monday after the Memorial I had reached the end of my tether and really need a break as I had played probaly too many events in succession. My problem was that all the events I played in that last stretch were events and courses I liked so it was difficult to not play them but by the time Memorial came around I was already feeling like I needed a break." "I will now play the next three weeks including this, the Buick up in Flint and then Tiger's event at Congressional and in that also will be British Open Championship qualifying on the Monday of Tiger's tournament." Peter is playing the TPC River Highlands course for the fifth time and has often played well around this course. "It is a bit softer than normal at the moment," said Peter referring to the conditions, "but things might firm up a little later in the week." Peter finished 9th in this tournament last year after making a fast start where he led early.
