"It could be described as a tough day at the office today you might say," said Peter after his opening round of 4 over 74 at the PGA Championship at Oakland Hills left him in 62nd position although only 6 shots from the lead.

I started with a few good shots that bounced over the greens and which led to a few bogeys. Aside from that and a shifty three putt on the last, I actually played ok."

"The greens really firmed up and were reasonably slow although they probably can't get to much quicker due to the heavy contouring on some of them. I didnt really hole anything. Hopefully I will tomorrow."

Peter will have a late tee time on day two at 1.40pm
