Peter's third round of 69 at the Bank of America Colonial has moved him within one of the leaders, Rod Pampling and Tim Herron as the event heads into its final round tomorrow.

Peter got his third round underway with a birdie at the par five first after a massive drive saw him easily reach the back of the green form where he two putted.

He longed a very long (40ft) putt at the 5th before a good par save at the 7th and following pars saw him turn in two under.

At the 10th he missed the green long and left and took bogey but he bounced back at the long par five 11th when he pitched close after finding the fairway bunker from the tee.

He made a good par save from the back trap at the 12th and then at the 16th, after finding the front left bunker from the tee, he bladed his bunker shot across the green and in the end made a good bogey.

He made yet another good save at the next from behind the green, this time for par, and at the last, after pulling his tee shot left, he managed to find a way over the trees and finished 15 feet from the hole.  The putt he made for birdie was yet another example of a good putting week to date for Peter and he finished with one under 69 and just one behind.

"The golf course was tough today," said Peter after the round referring to the firm, fast conditions. "Those are conditions that I typically enjoy however where ball control and demands on accuracy are at a preminum."

Peter has a 12.37 tee off tomorrow where he will play in the third to last group with Bo Van Pelt.
