Peter has moved to the edge of contention at the Australian Open,
his second round of 70 moving him to three under but it was a
struggling round and he was forced to make several good putts to keep
the momentum heading in the right direction.
Starting at the 10th
hole today, Peter made the turn in two under 34 but then failed to get
his birdie at the par five 1st hole after driving it in the bunker. He
saved par at the 2nd with a 30 foot putt but then dropped a shot at the
third after again finding the bunker from the tee. He made a 15 foot
putt for birdie at the par three 4th but again missed a chance at the
par five 5th.
He was unable to pick up another birdie but at
three under he is not all that far from where he needs to be to
challege over the closing 36 holes.
