"I really didn't hit the ball well enough all week," said Peter after his final round of even par 72 at the Australian Open. "Around this golf course you have to hit quality golf shots and I wasn't able to hit enough of them."

Peter also rued his decision to introduce a new lob wedge into the bag today. "I hit a shank at the 7th and again at the 11th which given the nature of that hole was hardly the right place to do it. The crowd were kind however as if I had hit that kind of shot at the FBR Open in Scottsdale I might have copped a bit of flack."

"Overall I just didn't drive the ball well and am a little disappointed given my love of this course."

Peter will have a couple of weeks in Australia before heading back to the USA for the first event of the season in Hawaii starting on January 10th.
