Peter practiced at the Australian Golf Club today (Wednesday) after spending some time on the practice fairway at his home club The Lakes in Sydney. He then headed out to the Australian at around 4.00pm and played nine holes enjoying being able to take time to get a feel for the golf course on which he won the 2004 Australian Open. This was his final preparation for the Open which starts tomorrow.

"I played the pro-am yesterday and the golf course is a little soft at present which is to be expected given the rain they Sydney has had in recent weeks. If it dries out by the end of the week it will be certainly a very tough test in fact it will be in any case. The rough is thick but I love this place and am looking forward to it."

Peter has a 12.15 tee time on day one when he will play with Hiroshi Iwata, and Stuart Appleby. Peter played with Appleby in the opening rounds last week at Coolum.
