Peter has finished in a share of 6th place at the Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone, a good finish but one that threatened to be so much better when he made a quick move early in his final round.

Starting the final round five shots behind, Peter birdied four of his first five holes and at that stage had moved within three of what would be the eventual winning total. Although he continued to play well he was unable to convert any further opportunities and settled for a round of 66 and a share of 6th place at 7 under par.

Peter earns a cheque for US$220,000 and takes his 2008 USPGA Tour earnings to US$1,266,766.

It was a very encouraging week for Peter who will now play the PGA Championship at Oakland Hills  north west of Detroit
