Peter has gained a late start at the Arnold Palmer Championship after three of the players in the pro am field on Wednesday failed to make their tee times for that event and were disqualified. John Daly and the first two alternates in the pro am (who were also not on site) were disqualified and Peter found himself with a start. Nick O'Hern and the inform Ryuji Imada were the unlucky ones to miss out. "While it is disappointing to get a start on another player's misfortune I am just very happy to be playing the event ," said Peter from his home in Orlando. "I have now made four cuts in a row and feel my game is building momentum. I am so pleased with the progress my chipping has made as earlier in the season I was really struggling with it." "I missed a few putts at crucial times last week but overall played ok."
Peter has played this event every year and had his best finish in his very first season when 14th. |
