The cut at that point appeared as if it would fall around 4 over and with the momentum going all the wrong way his chances of halting his run of missed cuts appeared to be waning. Two double bogies in his opening nine holes had not helped his cause but birdies at his 12th and 13th holes had him back on track and despite a bogey at the 17th he had done enough to secure weekend work. The doubles came at the 4th where he found the front right bunker and took four to get down and at the 9th where he pulled his approach and again took four to get down after short siding himself. He then birdied the 12th after holing a lengthy putt and then he holed from just off the green at the 13th. He held his breath at the final hole when his approach only just cleared the water but he was able to make par and at 4 over he has made the cut by two.

After struggling to the turn in three over 38 today at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Peter's hopes of making the weekend in the event close to his home in Orlando seemed slim.
