Peter has made the cut at the Verizon Heritage Classic, his second consecutive round of 70 leaving him at two under for the tournament and with just a few players still on the course he was in 24th place.

The leader, Ernie Els, is at 12 under but Peter has another opportunity this weekend to put together a couple of low rounds to move into contention.

Peter made a whirlwind start today when he birdied his first three holes, holing from off the green at the third, but he struck trouble in the middle of his round dropping five shots in seven holes shots to be two over for the round and at one over for the tournament at that stage and could ill afford to drop any further shots.

A double bogey 6 at his 9th hole today after going from greenside bunker to greenside bunker caused most of the damage in that shaky stretch and he then bogeyed the 10th. His fortunes turned at the 11th when he holed a monster from over 40 feet.

Peter missed reasonable chances at the 12th 13th and 15th holes on the way in but birdied from 5 feet at the 16th and holed a good putt at the last for 70. He also made a couple of nice par saves on the way in and is well placed to make progress over the weekend.
