"Last week (Buick Championship) I played pretty well for most of the week. On the weekend I was not able to get a putt early in the round to get the momentum going and tended to fall behind the 8 ball but overall things are on the improve - touch wood. I've made a few cuts in a row also which is helping to help build the momentum plus I have been practising a lot smarter now and utilising my time on the range a lot better than in the past." "I like this golf course at Cog Hill although this year it is a lot softer than in previous years. I think one of the things that I enjoyed here previously is that it was often firm and fast and I tend to do well on those type of courses." Peter plays this week and will then head to England in the middle of next week to prepare for the Open Championship at Hoylake. "I'm going to play some of the links courses in Lancashire as a lead in to the Open." Peter has a late tee time tomorrow (12.42) when he will play with Mike Weir and Zach Johnson.

As Peter completed his preparations for tomorrow's first round of the Cialis Western Open just outside of Chicago, he expressed satisfaction at the improvement in his game in recent weeks.
