mastercard_mastersPeter is in the early stages of an extended stretch of tournaments, this week's Byron Nelson Championship the third of eight consecutive events he will play.

Speaking from Dallas today where he is preparing for the Byron Nelson at two courses, Peter talked of the many pleasing apsects to his game but his frustration in not being able to capitalise on what have been several good starts to events this year. "Last week for example I made a really good start on Thursday and Friday but a shank with a chip shot  on Saturday knocked my confidence a little and I struggled on Saturday for much of the round. I rang Lead (David leadbetter) on Saturday evening and we managed to get it sorted. I had played really well on the opening two days and even if I missed a green it was only just."

"Most Fridays I seem to have been to getting myself into a reasonable position but, with the exception of the Mayakoba event, have not really gone on with it but in my own mind I know that in stretches I am playing and hitting the ball as well as I ever have."

"I have been using the short putter these past two weeks but will go back to the long putter this week. I have only spent a little time on the two courses since arriving here but will hopefully get to play them both by Thursday."

"I have an extensive schedule mapped out over the next couple of months having already played Heritage and New Orleans, I will play this week in Dallas, next week at the Wachovia Championship in North Carolina, then the Players Championship at Sawgrass, then the Bell South at Sugarloaf, then the Colonial event followed by the Memorial. I will follow that up by trying to qualify for the US Open so it is full on for the next few weeks."

Peter has an 8.50 am tee time on day one whe he will play with Justin Leonard and Rory Sabattini. Peter has made the cut in four of his five starts at this event with a best place finish of 9th in 2003.
