Peter looks ahead to Australian Open

Peter has missed the cut at the Australian PGA Championship at Coolum after a horror day on the greens. Peter lost confidence with his putter early and was never able to build any momentum.

A dropped shot at the 17th took Peter beyond the cutline and he was unable to secure the birdie at the last which he needed to sneak into the weekend field. It was one of the few cuts Peter has missed in Australian in recent years and brings undone a great record at this event where he won on three occasions in the previous six years. Peter is looking at putting options this weekend as he tries to prepare for next week's Australian Open at Royal Sydney.

His tee to green game is in good enough shape for him to turn things around quickly if he can regain some confidence on the greens. "Obviously I'm disappointed to have missed the cut here but whatever I tried today it just wasn't feeling comfortable. I am hoping I can get one of my putters from my home in Florida sent over for next week. I have a golf day at Magenta Shores on Monday and will then head straight to Royal Sydney for hopefully a better effort than this."

While Peter was unhappy about his week he was not about to let it upset a very enjoyable night with friends at the Hyatt last night and has, in his own typical way, already put behind him a very ordinary week by his standards.
