2007_the_players_championship_-_double_eagle_celebrationPeter plays the Northern Trust Open at the famed Riviera Golf Club in Pacific Palisades this week as he looks to get his 2008 PGA Tour season underway in earnest.

"The practice for this week is going well," said Peter on Tuesday evening.  "I have done a lot of chipping and am looking forward to this week on a golf course that I really enjoy."

"The course is in great condItion and for the first time ever it doesnt look like it will rain!"

"I will be using the new Tour Burner driver and I think it is a cracker. I have also put a new Monza Spider putter (long).  Hopefully all is going to go well and I am definitely feeling much better about things after a rough start to the year."

Peter has played this event on six previous occasions without a lot of success but it is an older style golf course that should theoretically suit his game.

Peter has a 6.55am tee off on day one when he will play with Jerry Kelly and Johnson Wagner.

At this stage Peter does not have a start at next week's Accenture Match Play Championshipo but one further withdrawal will change that. If he does not gain that start Peter will play the Mayakoba Classic in Mexico an event in which he finished third twelve months ago.
