As had been the case in yesterday's second round, Peter was slow out of the blocks today and even when he did break his run of pars it was with a bogey at the 5th. He had managed to dodge a bullet at the 4th with a fine par save from well short of the green but at the 5th he found the bunker and dropped a shot. The first birdie of the day came after a good tee shot at the par three 8th to ten feet but he gave that shot back with a soft three putt bogey at the 10th. After a very good par save from the front bunker at the 11th, It took until the 15th to record his second birdie of the day when, after driving through the green at the short par four, he made a good up and down from a difficult position. The TPC River Highlands has already proven a difficult course to negotiate this week but low rounds are certainly possible. If Peter is to have a chance on day four it is likely he will need a 65 or better to do so. If he can reproduce the quality ball strking he displayed on the opening two days of the tournament then he is not out of the equation at this stage.

A third round of even par 70 saw Peter slip from outright second and just one behind the then leader, Darron Stiles, after round two to now be in a share of fifth and four behind the third round leader, J.J.Henry.
