After a hot start to today's first round at the Bank of America Colonial, Peter's scoring cooled a little over the back nine but at four under he finds himself in seventh place and two behind first round leader, Stewart Cink. Birdies at four of the first five holes (he started at the 10th) saw him contending for the lead early in his round and when he added another at the par five 11th he was very much in contention for opening round honours. He made two fine par saves at his 13th and 14th holes before a bogey at the last had him signing for a 66. The bogey at the last was, in the end, a good result as he found the water with his approach and was forced to take a penalty drop. His fourth from well left and short of the green almost went in the hole and he had salvaged bogey. Peter will look to an 8.16 tee time tomorrow to build on his good start.
