Peter has opened with a two under par round of 70 at the MasterCard Masters in Melbourne and is a share of 10th place. Peter played early on day one and struggled to the turn in one over 37 before he picked up the momentum over the back nine.

Birdies at the 1st and 3rd holes (his 10th and 12th) had him at one under and he hit the shot of his day at the par five 6th when his fairway wood from over 260 yards finished 15 feet from the hole.

Unfortunately for Peter he missed the eagle but made a very comfortable two putt birdie. At the next he three putted after laying up at the par five but at the short par four 8th he picked up his final birdie of the day to move back to two under and is well placed for a move in his second round tomorrow.
