A great weekend has seen Peter move from the cutline to finish 20th at the Frys.com Open in Scottsdale Arizona, a change back to the long putter at the midway point of the tournament appearing to make the difference as he stormed home with rounds of 64 and 69.

"I have persisted with the short putter for a few weeks and while I did not putt badly with it , I happened across a long putter the other day which I really liked the look and feel of and decided to put it in the bag for the weekend," said Peter today. "I played well especially over the weekend and the putting, while not brilliant, was very solid and I certainly like the feel of the putter."

Peter was making a big move today reaching  four under for the day through 14 holes and 11 under for the tournament at that point and he had climbed inside the top ten. A bogey at the par three 13th and then again at the par four 18th cost Peter not only a top ten finish but the chance to play his way into the top 70 which is still a goal over the next two weeks. His 20th place this week improved him only one position to 72nd on the money list. 

"I probably needed a top ten to finish inside the top 70 which is important in terms of starts in the Invitational events next year but hopefully I can do that in the next couple of weeks."

Peter will play next week's Ginn Sur Mer event in north Florida.
