In what turned out to be a horror second round at the PGA Championship, Peter has failed make the cut and will sit out another weekend at a major.

After a solid opening round of 70, Peter was well placed to make progress in round two especially with the advantage of an early tee time but after an early double bogey at his fifth hole of the day things went from bad to worse. Two further double bogeys were added and in the end it took a couple of late birdies to keep the round under 80.

No explanation at this stage for the form reversal but we shall speak with Peter in the next day or so.

Peter will now head to Ohio for this coming week's WGC Bridgestone Invitational.
