Peter's second round of 73 at the Players Championship was an improvement but it was still not enough to give him any chance of making the weekend field after the damage had been done with yesterday's opening round of 77.

An outward nine of 40 on day one left Peter with too much work to do, eventually missing the cut by six shots. The putter was again much of the problem with 35 and 32 putts respectively on days one and two.

Peter was scheduled to play next week's Valero Texas Open in San Antonio but his next start will be at the HP Byron Nelson event in Dallas starting on May 21st
