Peter has missed the cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii after his second round of 72 in the rugged afternoon conditions saw him miss the required mark by just one shot.

Peter dropped two shots on his front nine by finding greenside bunkers and he again dropped a shot at the 13th when he was unable to get up and down when he missed the green there. He birdied the par four 15th after a fine approach to three feet to give himself a chance but was unable to secure the one extra birdie he needed to get the job done.

Peter will now head to La Quinta in California for this coming week's Bob Hope Classic.
