Peter plays Buick Invitational
Written by Bruce Young

2006_buick_championship__photo_-_chris_condon__-_wire_image_- Peter is in San Diego this week for the Buick Invitational after taking last week off and spending it at his home in Orlando.

During his time in Orlando Peter again worked  on his short game, still concerned with difficulties he experienced with his chipping while in Hawaii. After just a few days he was pleased with the progress and will play the Buick Invitational for the fourth occasion, having made the cut in two of his three starts to date.

In 2005 Peter recorded his best finish in the event when 14th after sharing second second with the winner Tiger Woods after 36 holes that year.

Peter is first off the first tee on the South Course on day one at Torrey Pines, the host course of the two being used this week. With the US Open also being played over the South Course in June of this year, Peter will be keen to get a feel of the changes to the course and importantly begin to build the sort of form he needs to gain a start in that event.
