Peter plays his fourth Canadian Open this week when he tees it up at the Jack Nicklaus designed Glen Abbey Golf Club in Mississaugua near Toronto. After a disppointing third round had seen him miss the last day in Milwaukee last week under the MDF rule, Peter looks to continue the progress he has made in recent weeks, a run that has seen him make his last five cuts. Given his earlier form this season it is a significant turnaround. His task now is to step it up another level in the search for a big finish. "I haven't played Glen Abbey before although it looks really nice," said Peter on Tuesday evening. "I arrived tonight and will play the pro am tomorrow. Overall I am pretty happy with the way things have been going. I have had my chipping back for two weeks and it is only improving. Last week put a softer shaft in my driver and I thought it went well. I got the ball in the air quicker and it definitely went further." I am looking forward to the next 3 weeks. Peter has an 8.20 tee time on day one when he will play with Mathias Gronberg and Webb Simpson. |
