Peter plays the John Deere Classic this week for just the third occasion looking to improve what has been an ordinary record at this venue. Peter has missed the cut in both times to the event but with evidence of improvement for him in recent weeks, this week offers an opportunity for that to continue.

Peter has started the event well in each of the last two years but a poor second round has cost him the chance of advancing further. It is important that Peter takes advantage of weeks such as this and next week in Milwaukee where many of the PGA Tour stars are either In Europe or preparing to go there to advance his cause in terms of money list aspirations.

This week's TPC Deere Run is a D.A Weibring designed golf course where lots of birdies and low scoring is often the norm. A putting improvement will be necessary to contend but a continuation of his recent progress will also be important as he looks to the weeks ahead. 

 Peter has a 12.09 tee time on day one when he will play with Garrett Willis and US Open hero Ricky Barnes.
