Peter has finished his opening 36 holes at the Travelers Championship at 3 under par after a second round of 69 him well positioned in an event he has often played well.

A double bogey at his very first hole in today's second round, where he was short with his second and then pitched through the green, had Peter very quickly concerned about the cut mark, which would eventually fall at 1 over, but he picked up two birdies before the turn to be back in the hunt.

Peter added three birdies but two bogies over the back nine to finish with 69 and at three under is just five behind the joint leaders David Toms and Jay Williamson.
