Peter only gained a start in the event as a result of his inclusion in the 2005 Presidents Cup Team (current Ryder and Presidents Cup team members are eligible to play) but he is making the most of his opportunity. Peter struggled a little early in his round making one of two good par saves but dropping shots when he missed the green at his 4th hole then three putting from the back of the green at the 17th. His first birdie came at his 12th ( the 3rd) when he holed from ten feet and then again at the 5th when he holed from 23 feet for his second and last birdie of the day. photo - Hunter Martin

Peter has recorded a second consecutive round of 70 at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron Ohio and at even par he is 9th place and six behind the 36 hole leader, Rory Sabbatini.
