A five foot par saving putt at the last was all important in this low scoring event with the cut falling at five under. Peter is just seven shots from the three way tie for the lead but he is in 66th place. It was a good day from tee to green for Peter but his putting let him down on several occasions. His two birdies on the front nine were the result of two putt birdies, but he did make a good par save at the 16th before a bogey from the bunker at the 17th saw him make the turn in one under 35. Peter needed an under par back nine to be around for the weekend and he was able to do so. The shot of the day for him was his second to his 11th hole from 260 yards to 10 feet. Almost symptomatic of the day he missed his eagle attempt but made birdie. He then birdied his 14th hole after hitting his approach to five feet and he then needed to par in to be assured of a place in the weekend field. Peter missed a good chance at his 17th hole before struggling to a par at the last. photo - Marc Feldman - WireImage
