Peter has carried on from his opening round of 65 to produce a second round of 68 and at the halfway mark of the Soboba Golf Classic at the Country Club at Soboba Springs Resort in San Jacinto in Calfornia he shares the lead with Argentine golfer Miguel Angel Carbello.

Peter was surprised by his effort in yesterday's opening round. "It was probably the worst I have hit it all year and I shoot 6 under," said Peter soon after round one. "Sometimes this game is crazy."

Today he was happier with his ball striking. "I actually hit it a little better today in what were pretty windy conditions"

 Peter's putting has kept things going over the opening 36 holes but if he can find a way to hit even more greens than was the case today then he could be in for a good weekend.

Peter started with a bogey today but with five birdies in his next nine holes he was back contending for the lead. Carbello dropped shots late but a birdie at the last ensured he and Peter would share the lead heading into the weekend.
