Peter has bowed out of the FBR Open, his rounds of 73 and 75 leaving him well short of the cutmark.

Peter started the tournament well and through ten holes of his opening round he was at 3 under and going well. He would drop six shots over his next eight holes and  was on the back foot as he headed into round two.

Peter's fortunes appeared to improve when he eagled his 4th hole on day two after holing out from just behind the green at the par five 13th. His round developed into a roller coaster from there however with one birdie, four bogies and two double bogies.

"For some reason I just could not hit it on the fairway," said Peter on Sunday evening. "Everything else was reasonably good and I have done a bit of work on it since and think I have it worked out but I guess we won't know until next week."   

Peter will now head back to California for this week's Buick Invitational before taking a week off.
